The $1.2 billion Richmond Airport Vancouver (RAV) Project continues to roll forward, with the 'Preliminary Design Phase' set to begin this June (click on the map for a closer look at the route).
Pre-construction is already underway - lining up permits, traffic planning, etc. - while actual construction will start this coming August. If all goes well, the project should be ready for testing by September 2009, with full service beginning in November.
In the not-too-distant future, you'll be able to grab the RAV downtown and catch that flight to Vegas, without having to worry about beating the traffic.
