Continuing our look at Gastown and its surrounding neighborhoods, we'd be remiss if we didn't consider the darker side of Vancouver as well. After all, the story of our city isn't all about shiny new buildings and fancy condos.
As most Vancouverites are well aware, the downtown east side is one of Canada's poorest neighborhoods, where drug and alcohol abuse are rampant.
