Shortly after construction began in September 2005, the RAV line was officially renamed the Canada Line in late November.

- It will take 25 minutes to travel from the YVR terminal to Waterfront Station.
- In total, 16 stations will be built; new downtown stations will include stops at Robson and Yaletown
- Trains will run above ground or at grade in Richmond, but will largely be underground in Vancouver
