For those who want to know more about Mayor Sullivan's EcoDensity initiative, GVTV.ca just aired a new six-minute video on the topic. (Visit the home page for a link to the story).
Among the many benefits of greater density are lower costs and a reduced environmental footprint that occurs thanks to a city's ability to concentrate a range of public services in a smaller area.
As the video explains, this makes everything from schooling, grocers, and the delivery of public transportation more efficient.
More information about the Vancouver's Eco-Density initiative can be found here.
The City will also be hosting an EcoDensity Fair on the weekend of March 3rd-4th. More details here.
And in case you haven't had the chance to see him speak before, the video also features Brent Toderian, the new Director of Planning for the City of Vancouver.
