I can't believe Vancouver is in with the likes of Las Vegas and Cleveland. And 2 of the 3 Vancouver pictures were horribly out of date. One Wall Centre was missing from the first one and it was built in 2001. A ton of buildings have been built since then. And the second picture was missing Shaw Tower. So our 2 tallest buildings were missing (excluding the now tallest Shangri-la). How are we supposed to rank high without those? The third picture however was one of the best circulating pictures of Vancouver and quite up to date. I couldn't even see any other city pictures that could compare to that one until much higher up the list. But whatever, he's entitled to his opinion. I'm guessing he was from Charlotte since there were like 3 times as many pictures of it than anywhere else...

I agree with Raggedy13 above.

I guess on the brightside Vancouver now has enough recognition to even be listed. A few years ago we probably would not have even been on the map.

I do find it hard to believe we are not ahead of Charlotte, Cleveland and Pittsburgh at least. Although the list is very subjective and seems to lean towards "big and tall" so that works against us.

Now that our downtown is getting taller we will move up these lists - for what it is worth.

Canadian Mind

I watched the vid, and didn't like what I saw. as such I left a comment on what I thought about Vancouver position, and Calgary's lack of a spot. he replied to said comment, which eventually lead to me sending him a personal message with links to several of the different Vancouver skyline shots, aswell as the Vancouver photo-thread on SSP.

Needless to say, I think I quickly changed his opinion of the city, as he stated that he wished to come to the city even more, and sooner than what he was thinking of earlier. I recommended to him late 2009-2010, when most of our current buildings under construction would be completed.
