Not far from the Woodwards development, work on the Carrall Street Greenway has been quietly progressing, particulary on the stretch from Pender to Expo Boulevard.
Not much has been done yet in the Gastown area though, as Pigeon Park in particular looks untouched.
Further updates should come available on the City's website, once the strike comes to an end. In the meantime, check out the Carrall Street Journal for updates about the neighbourhood in general.

It will be interesting to see how they will handle putting the pathway right through Pigeon Park. That may be a down-and-out corner, but it has special significance for the Downtown Eastside, and I don't think some of the local groups will appreciate the City paving a glorified bicycling lane through their grounds.

I recall hearing at some point that Parks was undertaking a separate planning/design process for Pigeon Park to update it without upsetting everyone. Haven't heard anything on this lately though.
